Marinella de Nigris

          

Atty Marinella de Nigris has worked for many years on various legal magazines such as “Cassazione Penale e Giurisprudenza di Merito” commenting on sentences of S.C.. Since being nominated Honorary Consul of Canada, with jurisdiction in Campania, Basilicata, Calabria, and Puglia, she has also been involved in diplomatic affairs.

She is the founder and editor of the magazine “Mille e una Donna”. She is a member of the 8th of March Court (a woman’s association that, among other things, founded ‘Telefono Rosa’ of Rome). She is President of Onda Rosa Association, Advisor of the Regional Board of Immigrants in Campania and President of the Female Regional Board in Campania (for these two institutions she has collaborated on the organization of study seminars and on the elaboration of laws.Having been in practice for the past 25 years and qualified for the higher levels of judgement, Atty de Nigris is an expert in Family Law, protection of women and immigrants and Environmental Law; she has been involved in legally assisting on ‘Italia Nostra’  (an Environment Association) in various important trials.Founder of the Pedestrian Association and Citizens of Chiaia, she has defended human rights violated during the Kosovo War giving legal assistence in the gathering of evidence against violence that was taking place in refugee homes through collaboration with the institutions delegated as their hosts. She has defended many women and children who are victims of physical violence, Italian entrepreneurs involved in ‘Tangentopoli’, those accused of corruption, extortion, budget fraud, false social communications, tax evaders, and violators of norms in Penal Law. Being an expert in Work Law, she has defended many working women damaged by bad working conditions and many families of workers who died from asbestos or mesotelioma. She has personally worked on editing the legal project entitled: “Institution of Homes for Battered Women” by intervening in its official presentation that took place on April 4, 2000. In 2001, she participated in seminars concerning armed forces of “Project Urban” for which “Onda Rosa Association” has worked with ISERS.She has recently been involved with consulting activity of “Famiglia Donna di Napoli” Association in the initiative of counselling services and technical and managerial assistence entitled “ Difensori di Parità” and “Consulenti di Parità”.Speaker at various conventions, debates, and t.v. programs regarding juridic and social subjects as “Criminal Angels” – a convention that took place in Verona from the 20th to the 29th of April 2001 in the area of the fifth edition of sentimental and Melo Film Festival “Schermi d’Amore” that was held contemporarily.
